The Department of Management, in association with the Department of Library, JAIN College (Autonomous), organised an educational visit to IIM Bangalore on 14th July 2026. The programme began with a guided campus tour, where students explored the institution's world-class infrastructure, library, academic blocks, and learning spaces, gaining insights into its culture of innovation, research, and leadership.
This was followed by an engaging panel discussion on cybersecurity, featuring experts from academia, industry, and law enforcement, who shared their perspectives on emerging cyber threats, ransomware, phishing, data breaches, artificial intelligence in cybercrime, and the importance of cyber resilience. Students also learnt about cybersecurity governance, industry best practices, and career opportunities in fields such as ethical hacking, digital forensics, cloud security, and information security management.
An interactive question-and-answer session enabled learners to seek guidance on skills, certifications, internships, and career pathways. The visit provided valuable institutional and industry exposure, inspiring students to pursue continuous learning while preparing for future careers in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity.
