Borrowing Books

The Borrowing section is separate from the reference section.

Each student is issued only two books against his/her library card.

Books from the borrowing section are issued for 15 days and must be returned or renewed.

SC/ST students can borrow one extra book from the Book Bank.

Books from the reference rack can be used only in the library and must be returned to the correct place after use.
Reference books are not issued to students.
An overnight issue is possible on request.
Textbooks are available, subject-wise, for reference by semester.
Project Reports are available for reference in the library.

Books in the reference rack will not be issued.

Books placed in the stack section are issued to students for 15 days.
Renew the books for an extension.
If issued books are returned after the due date, a fine of Rs 2/- will be collected per day.

If a student damages a book, it should be reported to the librarian and should be replaced immediately.
A defaulters' list will be displayed on the notice board every Monday.
Books from the general section and novels are issued to students.
If a book is lost, the same book is to be purchased and given to the librarian or double the cost of the book is to be paid.
